Fire Testing Results 2019
If the posted results show you have passed the written exam, the next step will be for you to complete the full Firefighter/EMT employment application which will be emailed to you. The completed application must be received by the City of Edwardsville Human Resources Department by Monday, November 18, 2019 at 4:00pm in order for you to continue to be considered for the Edwardsville Fire Department hiring list. The original application (not a copy) may be dropped off at the HR Department on the 2nd floor at City Hall (118 Hillsboro Avenue) or mailed to:

PLEASE NOTE: If you are selected to continue in the process for further consideration for placement on the hiring list, Illinois law requires a physical ability assessment as part of the firefighter hiring process. Your eligibility is determined by the number of candidates the Board of Fire & Police Commissioners has chosen to progress through the hiring list process, a candidate’s initial written examination score, and successful completion of a preliminary background check and oral interview.

CPAT certification card valid through at least January 31, 2020. Any candidate failing to do so will be
stricken from further employment consideration.
Candidates who have not obtained a CPAT card or
whose card will expire before January 31, 2020, may take the CPAT examination at
their own expense at the St. Louis County Fire Academy or other certified CPAT
Please note the following:
· It is your responsibility to schedule and complete the CPAT examination and to timely provide evidence of your completion to Amanda Tucker, Director of Human Resources, City of Edwardsville, 118 Hillsboro Ave., P.O. Box 407, Edwardsville, IL 62025.
· The St. Louis County Fire Academy is a certified CPAT testing site and is located at 1266 Sutter Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63133 (Phone 314.889.8670). More information can be found at www.stlcofireacademy.com.
Pre-registration is required to take the CPAT test.
Mandatory Aerial Ladder Climb Testing
