The Plan Commission has the responsibility to prepare and recommend to City Council a comprehensive plan for the present and future development of the City and:
To recommend changes, from time to time, in the official Comprehensive Plan
To prepare and recommend to council, from time to time, plans for specific improvements in pursuance of the official Comprehensive Plan
To receive, consider and, in its discretion, make recommendations to the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding any pending applications for variances, special uses or proposed amendments to the zoning code
To initiate and forward to the Zoning Board of Appeals proposed amendments to the zoning code
To consider and report to City Council its views in regard to subdivision plats pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 1224 of the Codified Ordinances
To exercise such other powers germane to the powers granted herein (Codified Ordinances Chapter 1220)
