Awards & Special Recognition
The City of Edwardsville is home to many kind and considerate people of numerous talents and skills. These include people who may live here or possibly visit, work or run a business in the City, and in doing so make Edwardsville a better place for all of us. It’s a privilege and priority for the City to recognize these people who exemplify excellence. The City’s awards and special recognition programs are as follows:

Veterans Banner & Spring Banner Programs:
The City’s banner programs were initiated to provide the community an opportunity to publicly honor and thank two special groups of people: our veterans and our community contributors (educators, medical providers, first responders and others). These two special sets of banners are displayed on light posts throughout the City’s business district for different periods each year.
The Spring Banner Program honors community contributors each spring. Learn more about this program and how to sponsor a spring banner by visiting here.
