Records Cataloguing & Indexing

Adopted ordinances are periodically added to the electronic version of the City Code which is available through the City website. Original, signed copies of all ordinances, proclamations and resolutions are filed with the Office of City Clerk. Minutes of all public meetings are filed with the Office of City Clerk.

Official written communications of the City Council are on file at the Office of City Clerk.

Official written communications of the Mayor, Administrator, and Treasurer are filed with the Executive Assistant.

Official written communications of the department heads are filed with the respective departmental offices and may also be on file with the offices of the clerk or others.

Most site plans, drawings, blueprints and developer site plans are filed with the Department of Public Works.

Billing, Bidding and claims information is filed for the city council finance committee with the Office of City Clerk

Budgeting, tax levy and appropriations information is filed with the City Clerk..

Activity and crime information is filed with the Department of Police (access to some information may be restricted)

Activity and run information of the Fire Department (including emergency medical services) is filed with the fire department (access to some information may be restricted due to HIPPA and other regulations).

Agents and employees of the City of Edwardsville conduct some official written communication through use of electronic mail (i.e. email).
