Kite Fly
Keep your eyes to the skies on the last Saturday in April. The City of Edwardsville Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a kite fly at Joe Glik Park on 710 East Lake Drive in Edwardsville, as part of the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ (IAPD) statewide kite fly, “Flying 4 Kids”.

Mother Son Fun Event
Moms it is your turn for a little fun with that special little man in your life! Mother Son Fun Event! Join us at the Wildey Theatre for dinner or brunch, crafts, scavenger hunt, a movie, and an unforgettable time.

Ice Cream Social
The Edwardsville Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its first Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, May 29th from 5-7pm at City Park. Kick Off the summer and cool off with free ice cream donated by Prairie Farms.

Fishing Lessons/Derby
The Edwardsville Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to offer youth up to age 15 free fishing lessons and fishing derby at Leclaire Lake Park!

Edwardsville Virtual Shoebox Parade
• Grab a "shoe box" or something similarly inspiring - Start with a base like a box from a recent online order delivery, an old shoe box, a crate, a tub, or a container of choice. It doesn't have to roll. It just needs to be able to be “pulled” by string for the actual parade.

Enjoy a rare opportunity to sleep under the stars at Joe Glik Park and take part in other outdoor activities. Whether you are an experienced camper or are looking for an activity to share with your family, this is your opportunity to camp in the safety of the Edwardsville.

Halloween Holiday Events
On Saturday, October 26th Edwardsville Parks Department in cooperation with the Edwardsville Lion’s Club will host a children’s costume contest at the City Park Bandstand immediately followed by downtown trick-or-treating.
